ConFusion, anyone?

Now, where were we? Oh, that's right, the blog. Weekly rant, wrap up, and all of that. It's a gloomy day here in southern Michigan, but the sun is trying to peek through the clouds and emerge, maybe melt some more of the snow. Why am I babbling about the weather? Mostly because today is SUCH a Monday, and I'm stalling, hoping my brain will eventually kick into gear. I've got a busy week ahead and can't afford to have my grey matter go off on vacation!

So, what's up? Well, this coming weekend is Immortal Con-Fusion, the Detroit area's big science fiction convention. Of course I'll be in steampunk mode most of the weekend, so I have outfits to plan and tweaking of ribbons and feathers and such to do. I'm on a bunch of panels, so I have to sort out what I want to talk about so I don't end up sounding like an idiot.

Meanwhile, I'll be at Naughty Author Chicks tomorrow (Tuesday) and author Rachel Johns will be here to keep you entertained Friday while I'm gone. Most importantly, I need to get some writing done. I started a new project last week and hope to finish it up by February. If all goes well, this will be an erotic novella with a dragon hero, and I'm really having fun with it. So far, it's at 1350 words. I'm hoping to average at least 1K per day, and get it wrapped up in a month or so. Stay tuned for further progress.
